Why aren't I losing weight?

I didn't start this running 'thing' with the intentions of using it to lose weight. I want to get in better shape, feel better and accomplish something just for me. If I lost weight along the way, great. Well, I haven't lost any. In fact, I've gained 2lbs. (probably from all that food from visiting my sister). That said, I probably need to start watching what I eat if I want to lose weight. Where is the fun in that though?

  1. First of all, this post should not be labelled failure! When you start working out it is normal to not lose weight, but to gain it because you're building muscle. That being said, I've been running since August and training for my race since January and I've lost maybe 5 pounds, probably not even that much. Keep doing it to feel better and if you really do want to lose weight then start watching what you eat. You're doing great!
