What a difference shoes makes

I went back to the shoe store this afternoon and bought myself a new pair of shoes. I tried on about 10 different pairs and walked around the store in them. I ended up with a pair of Adidas running shoes. The main reason I chose to go to this type of store is the knowledgeable sales staff. I knew they would be able to help me find the right shoe for me and my lifestyle and how I chose to wear them. This is what they do and they did an amazing job of helping me find the right pair. My shins are still a little sore but today's workout definitely did not add to it!

On to today's workout. I did my entire 30 minutes running for 6 and walking for 4. After about 15 minutes I wanted to stop. After 20 I really wanted to. But I pushed through and did it anyway and am proud of myself for finishing.

On another note; I did some research today and there is a 5k race in September that I might be interested in participating in. I'm sure I'll be ready by then but at least I know I have a long time to reach my goal!

  1. Good for you!! I am in Week 6 of the Couch to 5K and want to do a 5K next month. I don't know if I'll be able to complete it without walking, but I will sure try. Right now, I'm walking/jogging 2.25 miles in 28 minutes. Keep up the good work.
